10x14 Handwoven Beige and Black Maze Kilim Rug - 51773

Dense black key shapes and short maze-like turns repeat across a light beige ground, covering the whole surface in an interlocking geometric pattern. The black segments are chunky and graphic, and the beige reads almost as a second pattern in the gaps between them. A thin pale frame finishes the edges. The lines are thick and evenly weighted, so from a distance the rug reads as a balanced half-dark, half-light texture.

The rug was made by hand in Turkey from wool reclaimed from older kilims, unravelled and woven again into this design. It measures 10'1" x 13'7" (308 x 414 cm) and is roughly 5 mm thick, so it lies flat and moves easily. It is a good size for a large living room, beneath a dining table for eight or under a king bed. It weighs about 24 kg (53 lbs). Vacuum it on a low setting without the brush roll, and treat spots promptly to keep the beige clean.

The bold pattern works in modern, Art Deco inspired, industrial and monochrome spaces, and it pairs well with brass, black metal and light upholstery. Keep surrounding fabrics plain, such as cream boucle or grey wool, so the maze stays the focal point. A confident rug for rooms that can carry pattern.
