10x14 Handwoven Beige Geometric Kilim Rug - 51808

Squares framed in dark brown sit at each end of this beige kilim, some with striped grey centers and others with small square motifs inside. Between them lies a soft grey panel of fine stripes, and a border of dark brown blocks runs around the edges like a row of piano keys. The layout is orderly and architectural. Three larger squares line one end and four smaller ones the other, and an L-shaped brown bracket wraps partway around the central panel.

The rug was woven by hand in Turkey from wool reclaimed from older kilims and rewoven into this design. It measures 10'0" x 13'10" (304 x 422 cm) and is about 5 mm thick, so it lies flat and handles easily. Use it in a large living room, under a dining table for eight or in a king bedroom. It weighs about 24 kg (53 lbs). Vacuum it routinely without the beater bar, and a rug pad will keep the border lines straight.

The beige and brown palette suits modern, mid-century, Japandi and transitional interiors and pairs well with oak and walnut. Set a coffee table over the grey center panel and the squares at each end frame the seating neatly. A structured rug with a calm, warm feel.
