Short horizontal dashes of rust, teal, rose pink, mustard and blue are scattered across a soft greige field, arranged in loose staggered rows rather than continuous stripes. The muted background has a slightly heathered look, and the colored dashes add a gentle, rhythmic sparkle without overwhelming the calm overall tone. Some dashes are long and others short, and a few darker brown ones near the top give the pattern a little anchor.

This kilim was handwoven in Turkey using wool salvaged from older kilims, unravelled and rewoven into a new modern design. At 9'9" x 13'8" (298 x 416 cm) and about 5 mm thick, it fits a large living room, a family room or under a dining table for eight. It weighs about 24 kg (53 lbs). Spot clean with a damp cloth when needed, and vacuum without the brush roll to protect the flat surface.

The soft palette with small pops of color suits Scandinavian, Japandi, coastal and contemporary interiors, and it brings quiet warmth to rooms with white or grey walls. Choose one of its accent colors, such as teal or rust, for cushions or a throw to tie the room together. A subtle rug that rewards a closer look.
