Wide ivory zigzags cut across a charcoal grey field near each end of this kilim, while the center carries a row of stepped diamonds nested one inside another. The serrated edges of the motifs and the speckled grey wool give the bold pattern a soft, handmade texture. The zigzag bands repeat in pairs at the top and bottom, framing three medallion-like diamonds across the middle, so the design feels balanced and almost symmetrical when seen from either end of the room.

Handwoven in Turkey from wool reclaimed from older kilims, the rug has been rewoven into this contemporary chevron and diamond design. It measures 10'6" x 14'1" (320 x 428 cm) and is roughly 5 mm thick, sized for a large living room, a great room or under a dining table for eight. It weighs about 26 kg (57 lbs). Because a flatweave has no pile, it sits low enough to clear most doors, and occasional rotation helps it wear evenly over the years.

The grey and ivory palette works well in modern, Scandinavian, industrial and modern farmhouse interiors, and it pairs nicely with black metal and pale wood. A charcoal sectional with ivory throws or a reclaimed timber dining table would sit comfortably on top. A strong pattern in a calm, neutral color story.
