12x15 Handwoven Brown Honeycomb Kilim Rug - 51799

A dark brown grid forms a honeycomb of rounded ovals across this kilim, each cell filled with beige, soft grey or dusty rust. The warmer rust cells gather in loose clusters while the paler ones spread across the rest of the field, so the pattern feels varied rather than strictly repeated. There is no separate border; the grid runs to the edges. Inside each cell the color is streaked rather than flat, which adds a gentle, hand-shaded texture.

It was made by hand in Turkey from wool reclaimed from older kilims and rewoven into this design. The rug measures 11'8" x 14'8" (355 x 448 cm) and is about 5 mm thick, so it lies flat even at this generous size. It is a good fit for a great room, an open-plan living area or a large dining room. It weighs about 30 kg (66 lbs), so two people make placing it easier. Turning it around once or twice a year helps it wear evenly.

The earthy palette suits mid-century, modern, rustic and transitional rooms and pairs well with leather, walnut and brass. A cognac sofa and a terracotta or blush throw would echo its rust cells nicely. A warm geometric rug for a large space.
