Bands of ivory, taupe, warm brown and soft grey step outward from a small center diamond until they reach the edges of this flatweave, creating a bold concentric pattern that reads almost like an optical illusion. The darker stripes carry natural variation in tone, so the rug feels layered and lived-in rather than printed or uniform. Short grey fringe finishes both ends. Where the diamonds meet the edges they are cut off cleanly, so the pattern seems to continue beyond the rug.

It was woven by hand in Turkey in wool and cotton, using fibers reclaimed from older handwoven kilims that were carefully unpicked and rewoven into a new design. At 3'7" x 5'0" (110 x 152 cm) and only about 5 mm thick, it is light enough to move easily and sits flat under doors. It works well at an entryway, beside a bed, in a reading corner or under a small coffee table. It weighs about 3 kg (7 lbs), and occasional spot cleaning keeps it looking its best.

The neutral palette keeps the strong geometry calm, so it fits easily into modern, Scandinavian, Japandi and minimalist rooms, and it also adds texture to warmer rustic spaces. Set it beside a wooden bench or under a single armchair to let the diamond pattern take the lead. It can hang on a wall as easily as it lies on the floor, a one-of-a-kind piece with a second life.
