Rows of slender, stylized trees rise across a cream ground in this kilim, their brown branches fanning out from a shared trunk near the top like a forest seen from below. Small accents in red, blue and green are scattered along the edges, adding a folk-art charm to the quiet composition. Along the bottom, a row of small leaf-like shapes forms a loose border, and a few small scattered motifs sit in the upper corners.
It was handwoven in Turkey from wool salvaged from vintage kilims and rewoven into this original design. The rug measures 5'4" x 6'9" (162 x 206 cm) with a 5 mm profile, a comfortable size for a bedroom, a reading room or a small living space. It weighs about 6 kg (13 lbs). The cream ground benefits from a gentle vacuum without a beater bar and quick spot cleaning when something spills.
