Nested diamonds in chocolate brown and warm sand repeat edge to edge across this kilim, each one framed by concentric outlines that make the pattern seem to pulse outward. The two tones are close in warmth, so the effect is strong but not harsh, and there is no border to interrupt the repeat. Each diamond holds four or five rings around a small solid center, and the rings of neighboring diamonds meet in sharp zigzags, so the spaces between them form a second, chevron-like pattern.

Woven by hand in Turkey, it was made from wool salvaged from older kilims and rewoven into this graphic design. At 9'3" x 12'1" (281 x 369 cm) and roughly 5 mm thick, it suits a living room seating area, a dining space for six to eight or a primary bedroom. It weighs about 20 kg (44 lbs). As a flatweave, it stays level under a coffee table and sofa legs, and a quick vacuum on low suction is enough for routine care.

The pattern works in modern, mid-century, Scandinavian and organic interiors, and it pairs well with leather, cane and natural oak. Because the repeat is even, the rug reads well from every side of the room. Keep the sofa and curtains plain in cream or camel to let the diamonds lead. It brings structure to a space without adding extra color.
