9x12 Handwoven Blue Tree Pattern Kilim Rug - 51797

A pale sky-blue center panel holds rows of small brown tree motifs, little bird shapes and blue tulip-like figures, all spaced in neat lines. Around it the field is filled with a diamond lattice in grey, ivory and soft blue, with a band of bolder cobalt diamonds toward the lower end and a thin red line running through the middle. It feels like a folk design reworked in a cool, modern palette. Small brown motifs with fork-like tops also float in the outer lattice, so the folk theme carries beyond the center.

It was handwoven in Turkey from wool reclaimed from older kilims and rewoven into this layout. The rug measures 9'4" x 11'11" (285 x 363 cm) and is about 5 mm thick, so it lies flat and is easy to move. It suits a living room, a dining room with a table for six to eight or a main bedroom. It weighs about 20 kg (44 lbs). Spot clean spills with a damp cloth and vacuum gently without a beater bar.

The light blues and greys work in Scandinavian, coastal, farmhouse and transitional interiors. Painted wood, a white linen sofa and a few blue-and-white ceramics suit its folk character. A charming, story-like rug with a calm color story.
