Small ivory dots are spaced in loose rows across a deep chocolate brown field, giving this kilim a quiet, speckled look. At each end a pale band with a row of dark marks frames the field, and fine ivory lines along the long sides add a comb-like edge. Up close the dots are short dashes rather than perfect circles, and their slightly uneven spacing gives the surface a gentle, hand-placed rhythm.

It was woven by hand in Turkey from wool reclaimed from older kilims and rewoven into this minimal dotted design. At 8'11" x 12'0" (272 x 367 cm) and about 5 mm thick, it suits a living room, a primary bedroom or a dining table for six to eight. It weighs around 19 kg (42 lbs). Its low, pile-free profile means doors and chairs pass over it easily, and a quick regular vacuum without a rotating brush keeps it looking tidy.

The dark, earthy palette works in modern, rustic, Japandi and organic modern rooms, and it pairs well with leather, linen and light oak. Its dark field is also practical in busy rooms. Under a pale bed frame or a cream boucle sofa, the deep brown creates a strong, grounding contrast. A simple, warm rug with a subtle handmade pattern.
